Women have since been able to attend consultative meetings and full council meetings thereby participating in decision making processes.
Although the number of women attending these meetings has been low, partly due to Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown restrictions, we look forward to more women participating as soon as they are able to.
Through continued education and capacity building and strengthening, we look forward to an increase in the number of women to vie for leadership posts especially in the 2023 elections
